I like to make games sometimes
Most of my game projects is me playing around with an idea or pushing the rpgmaker engine with little javascript involved, sometimes I just want to see how far I can take the vanilla engine to make the mechanics I want to make in it.
Because of this, all of these 'games' are weird.
Lately I feel like learning Godot, so I am making the jump from C to C++ and maybe C#, that's going to take a while.
Well, here's a list of every RPGMaker game I had in my 'working' folder. I touched them up to make them playable enough but most of them are not finished. Unfinished games have the 'Scrapped' tag.
- Hachiko's adventure
My only objective with this game was "I must finish a game once and for all"
Because of this, I slapped a silly idea together, what if you threw your out-of-the-mill fujoshi from the 2008's into a fantasy world, however this fantasy world is actually dangerous.
Also this game has a permadeath system where if you die once you cannot play it again, I wanted to implement that idea in rpgmaker. Try relaunching the game after you die.
- Dice game
A weird game about dice
This game started out as a joke about a chicken murdering it's owner. Spent years on hiatus until I picked it up again, and when I did I was quite depressed.
The story grew into a sad thing, and I 'finished' the game just like that. Years later, feeling better, I reworked the game a bit into what it is today.
Overall it is a weird game.
- Labyrinth of umbra - Scrapped
This game was made for a game jam, I somehow made it in two days including all art.
The idea behind this game was to make a randomly-generated dungeon in rpgmaker, and add some rougelite elements such as scrolls of identification and such.
Overall it worked pretty well, the combat system is also unique as in your turn is supposed to be 'the time you have before the enemy reacts', however working on the game
is extremely hard because it makes use of rpgmaker, mv3d and a ton of workarounds to ensure everything works. It's basically unmainteinable, as such the project was abandoned.
- You are not the hero - Scrapped
This is where the battle system for labyrinth of umbra was born.
That and throwable objects were pretty much my only objective with this game, as soon as that was made, I had no idea what else to do with it.
Ah also, this game uses a weird permadeath mechanic where if you die you must continue with the next adventurer that has a different fighting style.
- Memento mori - Scrapped
I wanted to make a platform in rpgmaker, also I wanted to make an 'universal' tileset and a battle-system based on what I like to call 'THAC20'.
Everything works quite well, except that the platformer is very janky.
The project was abadoned because I have no idea of what to do with it, I accomplished what I wanted and that's that.
- The big epic story story - Scrapped
A game about cats, original idea made by 216v0.
The game has never had a story and the fucos was all over the place, working on it became overwhelming very fast as more features piled-up.
- Womb-like room - Scrapped
Story and art made by my sister, 216 was supposed to make the music.
Because of RPGMAKER limitations requiring way too many workarounds, this project is going to be developed on GODOT engine.
Because of this, this RPGMAKER build is pretty much abandoned, it may work as an early access of sorts for the time being but nothing else.
Funny enough this game is what finally made me move to a real engine, rpgmaker is just too clunky, it feels like you're fighting against the engine every step of the way.
- Connection xems rework - Scrapped
The original idea behind this game was to completely rework connection xems, a game I made in vxace back in 2013 when I was still a kid.
The game grew into a feature-creep at some point and I lost interest in finishing it, as I learnt more game design.

Surprisingly, this game is finished.
I made this game back in 2013, when I was a kid, it may need RPGVXACE RTP to run.
It's a silly game with a bunch of stupid jokes I made as young kid.
- Witchy - Scrapped
Probably my first-ever rpgmaker game.
There is nothing special to say about this game, there is no story and not much to do in it.
The witch featured here is the same witch that in the future appears in the hachiko game.
